Tanglewood Homeowner's Recreation Association

Banking Services effective October 1, 2010

The Board of Directors for Tanglewood Homeowner's Recreation Association announces that, effective October 1, 2010, banking services to our association will be with Alliance Association Financial Services (AAFS)*. Our management agent, Vanguard Management Associates, Inc. has made this change in an effort to reduce costs and offer new payment options for our homeowners. Homeowners will be able to pay assessments by credit card or E-check through the AAFS web site after September 25, 2010. Tanglewood is a dynamic and diverse community located in the eastern portion of Montgomery County, in Silver Spring, Maryland (near the intersection of Route 29 and Fairland Road). The Tanglewood community is comprised of 826 single family, townhouses, and condominium homes built in the mid 1980s. The community features, a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, basketball court, skateboard court, parks, and green space. The Tanglewood Homeowner's Recreation Association is responsible for the care, maintenance, and management of the recreational facilities, the common areas, and green spaces. The Tanglewood community is comprised of smaller communities within the Tangelwood community.

Ashley Place is a community of townhouse owners within the Tanglewood community. The Ashley Place Homeowner's Association is responsible for the care, maintenance, and management of the Ashley Place community. The Stockbridge is a community of condos within the Tanglewood community.

The Stockbridge Homeowner's Association is responsible for the care, maintenance, and management of the Stockbridge community properties. The Tanglewood Homeowner's Recreation Association is the umbrella organization responsible for the resources shared by the entire community.

Heads Up! Stop signs in the neighborhood being monitored

The Montgomery Co. Police will be targeting three intersection in Tanglewood for stop sign violations: Brahms Ave. at Schubert Dr., Stravinsky Dr. at Schubert Dr, and Beethoven Blvd. at Schubert Dr. The violation earns you one point on your license and a $90 fine. Depending on the judge, the fine can be as high as $500.

Due to some individuals' total disregards for safety, there will be no warnings, even for Tanglewood residents.
